Austin, TX was a huge success. We saw some great bands and we made some great new friends. Special thanks to Vic Productions/ http://www.socodistrict.com for putting us up and organizing some great showcases.
Thank you also to Jeff Chase and Kevin at the Dubliner for giving us an opportunity to perform at the Mohegan Sun. We were treated incredibly well and it was a fantastic time. Mark debuted his Big Worm hair-style as we debuted our version of "Sweet Child of Mine." Fitting.
Spring is here and we are gearing up for a big and busy show schedule. We are looking to confirm some new venues. We have a big show JULY 4 at the PORTSMOUTH GAS LIGHT in Portsmouth, NH. We will also be performing there troughout the summer. It is an outdoors performance so even more fun. We also will be at our familiar places like Land Ho in Orleans, MA and Mt Blue in Norwell, MA. We have sheduled another TOUR of RIRA to take Place May 30-31 in there Bethesda, MD and Atlantic City, NJ locations. We will also be making a long-awaited return to RIRA in PORTLAND, Maine the previous weekend.
Work on the CD is nearly complete. We have furnished some samplers that we began to distribute in Austin, TX. Some songs are already available on-line with more coming. We are also working on projects with Loew Frequencey as well as a video for You Tube.
NOTE to those who have requested free CDs, due to the overwhelming response, we simply cannot produce any more free CDs. Within a few months you will be mailed information on how to receive free downloads. We apologize for the inconvenience. |

TF annouces shows in Maryland and New Jersey. A long time in the making, we will FINALLY be performing in Maryland and Atlantic City. Please join us Friday, December 14 at RIRA BETHESDA, MARYLAND and/or Saturday, December 15 at RIRA ATLANTIC CITY. Please visit http://www.rira.com for venue information and directions. We will play all night long at both places.
Other news: We hope to finish recording the basics for our new CD within the next few weeks. We are still working with Kenny Lewis at Mixed Emotions in Middleton, MA. We should have a few tunes available on the internet very soon. Check back for updates or checkout our page on MYSPACE.

Hey everyone. Thank you all for the overwhelming responses to our Free CD. We appreciate that you take the time to listen/download our music and take advantage of our offer. Sadly, we are getting so many requests, that we are falling behind by a TON. I wish I could provide an ETA, but the numbers are so big, I would hate to tease with a ship date. | So, as I sit here preparing for another snow storm and windy weather, Mark and Tyler are in Austin, TX at the SXSW. If you happen to be down there, be on the look out for the two pasty faced New Englanders with bongos and a guitar over their shoulder. Rumor had it, that they had some appearances scheduled. If I here specific information, I will update. Upon their return, we hope to finish the new CD and we'll start hitting up the shows again. |

A few things have changed for our show opening for the infamous, HERBAL NATION @ Harper's Ferry on Wednesday, February 28. The show is 18+; Doors at 7pm. We hit the stage around 7:30pm. Another great year is drawing to a close. We, Typhoon Ferri want to thank all of those who danced, shook, bought CDs, told a friend, added us on MySpace, gave a darn, uttered our name, booked us a show, party and/or wedding. 2006 was a nice year. We played new venues, began new songs. In early 2007 we will be releasing a new EP. Yesterday, we laid down the foundation for 3 more songs ("Time To Overcome," "Good for Nothin'," and "Movin' on it's Own,") with Kenny Lewis at Mixed Emotions Music in Middleton, MA. Kenny is easily the best engineer we have worked with. He produces a stress-free environment, is funny and gets the sound quickly. It is a refreshing change after the 3 long years it took to complete "Detergency." Kenny, a BIG Typhoon Ferri THANK YOU.
Besides preparing a new CD, 2007 will see us playing some new venues and returning to see old friends (Playwrite; New Haven, CT and Shamrocks; Wakefield, RI). We are also looking to work with some new management which we feel may help us take another step into spreading our music to the masses.

It is amazing at the amount of Free CD requests we have received since mid-September. We simply cannot keep up with the requests. It is flattering and we are so appreciative that our music has reached all corners of the United States and Europe. We are trying to find an easy way to mass produce and mail these samplers, but have yet to find a suitable solution. On the flipside, We should have some new MP3s to post soon. You can also purchase our CDs on this site using Pay Pal or search for us at http://www.cdbaby.com You can also purchase songs on I-tunes (see link a few stories below). We are sorry for the delay.
In other news, we have one song, Whitewater, in the can for the new EP. We hope to start 1 or 2 new songs in the next week or two. We are working with Kenny Lewis http://www.mixedemotionsmusic.com on the track and will do a little more work with him. So far, we are very excited with what is being laid down and applaud the effort of Kenny. He has been fantastic. |

A chill has taken over the morning air but the nights are still hot hot HOT. We are excited to be preparing for our DEBUT at the Legendary JOHNNY D's in SOMERVILLE, MA on Thursday, October 26. Johnny D's is the best live venue in Somerville; spacious, good food and drink and great sound. I have been many times, especially to see Boston's front man Brad Delp lead his Beatles tribute band BEATLEJUICE. Opening for us will be FRED, straight out of Ireland. Do check out their website. It is hysterical..and also familiarize yourself with their tunes. 9pm.

This Friday 10/20/06, we make our return to Mount Blue in Norwell, MA. GREAT food, drink and staff. We play from 9pm-12:30am. Always a great time here. We play all night...Come early for the food.. I like the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai.

Mark and AJ will perform a special acoustic set on October 7, 2006; opening for Max Creek. This is part of Sunday River's Fall Fest. Start time for the duo is 12pm, playing an hour set. Max Creek is legendary in these circles, playing jam/Grateful Dead music. We are excited to see them and this should be one heck of a time.
